Verifying image...
Computing hash and checking our database
Image Verified
This image has a valid CredLink signature
No Signature Found
This image has not been signed with CredLink
This doesn't necessarily mean the image is fake. It simply means it wasn't signed using our platform. The image may be authentic but unsigned.
Verification Failed
This image may have been modified
We found a signature but it doesn't match the current image content. This could indicate the image has been altered since it was signed.
Two Verification Modes
CredLink supports verification whether the C2PA metadata is present or has been stripped by platforms.
Mode 1: Embedded C2PA Manifest
When C2PA metadata is still present in the image file.
- Reads C2PA manifest directly from image EXIF/XMP data
- Validates cryptographic signature chain
- Full provenance chain available
Mode 2: Hosted Proof Lookup
When platforms have stripped the C2PA metadata (social media, CDNs).
- Computes perceptual hash of uploaded image
- Matches against CredLink's hosted proof database
- Returns signer, timestamp, and proof URL if match found
What You Need for Hosted Verification (Mode 2)
Option A
Upload the image file directly
Option B
Provide the CredLink proof ID or URL
Option C
Provide the image's SHA-256 hash
